The Path of Ideas and Decisions

All may cast their idea into the common hall. These must be tried by debate and measured against the guiding principles.

Through open discussion and the sign of assent or dissent, the collective reveals a democratic echo which does not rule alone, but serves as a compass, showing which paths are embraced and which are shunned.

The Council - selected members - exists not as a throne of tyranny but as a safeguard. It serves to preserve alignment with the five guiding principles, to guard against decay, and to resolve what cannot be settled by vote. The Council does not silence the will of the many; it ensures that what is chosen remains faithful to the vision. As such, its discussions are to be made public and open to criticism.

Ideas that persist are inscribed upon a ledger. Through improved conceptualization, ideas become structured, actionable, and accountable.

Once refined and validated, the idea is worked upon until it may be merged into the living body of our creation.

  • Openness: Any voice may speak. All may be heard.
  • Fairness: No one is silenced without cause.
  • Transparency: Each step is visible and documented.
  • Adherence: All must serve the five guiding principles; no idea, however beloved, may defy them.
  • Renewal: Decisions are not eternal; they are re-examined as the project grows, to remain alive and relevant.

Step 1. Speak the Idea

  • Present your thought to the community on Discord.
  • Use this chance to refine your idea and test it against critique.

Step 2. Create GitHub Issue

  • When debate has matured, ask for a community’s vote.
  • This reveals whether the idea has support.
  • Promising ideas are written formally as Issues on GitHub.

Step 4. Merge into Live

  • Reviewers (aka. The Council) ensure the proposal is in line with the guiding principles and is practical.
  • If approved, an invested contributor may take responsibility for working on it.
  • When complete and reviewed, the change is merged into the main branch.
